Meet Miles Pike, a kind-hearted and lovable flower shop owner. Despite his attractiveness and charm, a voice from his past has compelled him to establish his own guidelines for the perfect relationship.

Miles has had numerous relationships, and they always end the same way: wet, hateful, and bloody whenever he sees violations of his rules. Then he plants them in his ever-growing garden at the bottom of Lake Conroe in New Orleans. After he meets Nora Asher, a charismatic photographer, he can't stop thinking about her and silently starts confessing his evil deeds, especially as they continuously run into each other.

As he lures Nora into his twisted world, a tropical storm sweeps through New Orleans, causing the hand of one of his girlfriends to rise to the surface. Now he must snip the heads off to keep his secret quiet, especially Health Morand, the real estate mogul acquiring the properties, who has set his eyes on Miles' flower shop. As he does so, he finds himself torn between the fear of losing his love for all his floating flowers and the decision to give up being a serial killer and lead a normal life with Nora.
