The sequel to The Harbinger of Forgotten Things

12-year-old Cecil Harbinger thought his problems were over when he banished his former imaginary friend Scarecrow to the Land of Forgotten Things (the afterlife). Unfortunately for Cecil, Scarecrow found a loophole, and was reincarnated as a boy...Syd Crow.

Cecil and his friends find a way to neutralize Syd shortly after his return from the Land of Forgotten Things. However, whether Syd will be on his best behavior remains to be seen. Syd is still the same person who murdered Cecil's mother and teacher. Hoping Syd is reformed might therefore be unrealistic as much as Cecil and his friends enjoy this new normal they're living.

Whether Syd is truly changed or not, danger still lurks out there. Talk starts about how the other imaginary friends are upset they were cast aside and ignored, in addition to how a Hicklewapper resident wants to drop the veil between the living and dead. So, Cecil and his friends have a lot of work to do before their lives are completely drama free. Especially when Cecil's friends start dying one by one, begging the question if they'll ever truly be safe.
