After getting sober and becoming a substance abuse counselor, Marnie Blakely moved her family to her hometown Bernice, Louisiana, where her tragedy began, and into the perfect house. 

From the start, Marnie knew something wasn’t quite right. The knocks on the wall, the chill in the air, and unsettling portraits of previous occupants with comforting, eerie stares -  Marnie felt like she's not entirely alone. 

Soon, Marnie is confronted by her past, present, and the caretaker, who has devised a devilishly delicious scheme to ensure he is the last one remaining. But the home has other plans, as it moves, renews the people within, and creates its own destiny.
